Coosa defeated Adairsville 5-0 in Adairsville to open their sub-region schedule with a positive result. Sixto Moraga netted 2 goals and 1 assist. Paco Miranda scored a goal and completely controlled the midfield. Brayan Cornejo and Jarred VanCuren each netted a goal while William Moraga, Emanuel (Emac) Arroyo and Emiio DeLeon also had assists. Logan Watkins had 7 saves in goal while Justin Teems has 1 save. “Adairsville played hard and with a great intensity” stated CHS Coach Randy Vice. “Their facility is in pristine condition and it is a great place to play a game.” The Eagles were coming off a touch loss to Sonoraville where they played without starters Paco Miranda and Cesar Cornejo. “ After a tough loss, it’s sometimes difficult to come back and play to the level that you know you can play at” stated Vice, “I feel like we were able to at least partially do that tonight” . I can’t say enough about how well Tyler Okubo and Jarred VanCuren played on defense tonight along with Marco Arellano and Jose Fortenal. Jose has really stepped up his game over the last few matches and has really changed the dynamic.”
